General Policies
What to Expect:
In our initial meeting, I will go over your intake form that will tell me more about you and your body history as well as any other useful information I might need to ensure your session is equal parts beneficial and relaxing. Please note that all information shared is confidential and will not be discussed by anyone other than you and I together.
After we have gone over the intake sheet together, I will leave the room and allow you to get on the table undressed to your comfort level. During your session, all parts of your body will be properly covered and draped with the exception of the body part I am working on.
Throughout the session, I encourage you to communicate to me if you are feeling any discomfort, this session is all about YOU and your needs. Though talking is not forbidden, I do encourage quiet time, as it allows you to truly let go and be relaxed.
All of my massage creams/oils are unscented, but upon request I can diffuse essential oil blends for you.
When our session is complete, I will leave the room and allow you to come back to your body, and to get dressed. When you feel ready, we will meet briefly after to discuss plans for next session should you choose to return to OF THE EARTH MASSAGE
Services Offered :
Therapeutic, Deep Tissue, Prenatal , and Hot Stone Massage. Upon request I can also accommodate private parties such as weddings, retreats, corporate events and more. Please inquire via email if interested.
Payment
I am currently accepting cards, and cash. If you would like to pay cash, I ask that you please inform me beforehand via email so that we can set up a code for you to enter into the bookingsuite. I require a deposit of 50% of the cost of the service, and deposits are non refundable if cancellations are made outside of the cancellation guidelines below.
If you need to cancel, I will request that all cancellations are done 24 hours in advance via phone or email or through my booking site.. We can then work together to reschedule your appointment. If you fail to inform me of your need to cancel or willingly choose not to show to our appointment, you will be expected to pay the full price of the service.
I understand that LIFE happens. If you need to reschedule the day of, I am happy to do that but will require an that you pay 50% of the intended service price for my time.
Code of Ethics:
Sexual relations are unethical, inappropriate and unprofessional between client and practitioner. There is zero tolerance of sexual innuendos, or any advances made by the client, or practitioner. It is my job as the practitioner to also uphold these boundaries, if at any time during your session you feel as if I have breached my boundaries, you have the right to end a session, discuss the incident with either myself or contact Federation of State Massage Therapy Boards (Phone: (913) 681-0380; Email: info@fsmtb.org) to make a claim.
As a practitioner I uphold the right to refuse any client. This ensures the safety and health of myself and also the legitimacy of my business.

Massage should not be constructed as a substitute for medical examination, diagnosis or treatment. The massage therapist is not qualified to preform spinal or skeletal adjustments, diagnose, prescribe, or treat any physical or mental illness and nothing said in the session should be constructed as such. It is the responsibility of the client to inform their massage therapist of all known medical diagnosis’. The client must affirm that their are not suffering/ experiencing any and all contagious skin illness’ / infections/ diseases and do not have any of the following
-Blood Clots
-Cancer
-Edema
-Epilepsy of other seizure disorder
-Fever
-Hemorrhage or Hemophilia
-Phlebitis or Deep Vein Thrombosis
-Uncontrolled high blood pressure or other circulatory problems
-Under the influence of illegal drugs or alcohol
Please keep your therapist up to date on any medical changes. The therapist is NOT liable if the client fails to inform he/she/they of any medical changes or medical conditions above.
